Pew Pew!

I personally think of the great things about starting a new year is the opportunity to try new things that you haven't done before. For was paintball!

Naturally when one thinks paintball, one would be scared sh__less to get hit by a paint bullet! I've heard so many stories of the pain and the lovely bruise it leaves on you. However, the macho in me thinks oh this will be great! So naturally, the curious and adventure side of me won and there I was out on the field hiding for my life behind a pile of dirt.

When going to do paintball, I highly recommend going with a group of friends. It's a lot more fun to shoot your friends than strangers (and vice versa). Reservations are definitely needed so be sure to call or go on their website. My friends and I used Paintball USA. You can get all their information on their website here

When you arrive, do not be intimidated by the experienced shooters. In fact, I saw them as my shield. HIDE! HIDE BEHIND THEM! After being set up with your gear, mask, gun and leaving your scared self behind, you will be split into one of the 2 teams. They will usually have more than 1 terrain / playing field to play on. If you're there long enough, I'm sure that you'll be able to play on both. Once they've told you the rules, you walk to your "fight or flight" area. I don't want to give away too much of the experience because every person has their own thoughts on this, however my strategy was to hide! I considered myself a "back up" to those experienced shooters. It was seriously FUN! Hey hey to all my adrenaline junkies - you will love this sport!

I played at the Santa Clarita location and I would recommend it. So...go for it! πŸ˜ƒ
