#FoodFriday: Fig & Olive

I've finally had a chance to check out this adorable chic restaurant on Melrose Ave in West Hollywood!

Fig & Olive serves a blend of French, Mediterranean and Italian food. The ambience is a big winner in my books. It's a great place for a date or birthday party as they have a whole separate section that can be closed off with glass French doors and an upstairs level.

My friends and I family-styled everything so we could try it all and it was an excellent choice!

One of their more popular options is their crostini (6 for $21). This gave us the option to pick and choose to our likings. We picked the burrata, octopus, salmon, fig jam and some more. My favorite starter was the Sea Scallops (cooked perfectly)! If you're into crudo - I highly recommend the salmon and the Hamachi. We moved into the main courses easily and shared 3 main plates: Chilean sea bass, Paella and the Duck! I've got a bias opinion because I'm secretly in love with Paella so I'd say that was the best, however, the sea bass was pretty good too! My only negative thought was that the duck was a little bit dry. Maybe the duck wish it was seafood...

A truly pleasant dining experience. Make sure to call ahead for reservations because they can get a little bit busy! Here's their number (310) 360-9100!
